London, 28^th April 2015 – Sun Street Limited, the data management technology company, today announced the launch of Version 5 of Curium DQM, featuring an event driven, service-oriented capability for the established data quality management system.  In business terms the new version enables the delivery of real-time data quality management and instant data scoring, a method of measuring the impact of data quality checks as and when issues are found and resolved.

In technical terms, Curium v5 is now available as a component within a service-oriented architecture (SOA).  The biggest benefit of this upgrade is the ability to give business and data management teams an instant assessment of data quality when something in the data architecture triggers a check, for example the entry of a new transaction or the arrival of a reference data update.  By adding a data score to the results of a data check, Curium can instantly inform a person or consuming system of the quality level and potential impact of applying the new or changed data.

Adam Saunders, Product Manager of Curium commented:  “Once a firm starts benefiting from a business led DQM process it is a natural evolution to move this from a batch process to a real-time process.”  Saunders continued:  “This technical innovation brings business benefits in its own right as firms can react quicker to data issues.  Curium can now publish quality updates via standard messaging architectures whenever changes occur, either in the source data or when issues are resolved.  Data scoring takes this a step further by adding a rules driven quantitative quality measure that allows people or systems to assess the impact of data quality on a near real-time basis.”
